Just announced: Andrea's solo exhibition at Forum Gallery. The exhibition opens June 5th and continues through the month of June.

Andrea J. Smith's work is derived from a classical tradition, but translates into a contemporary context. Her influences are varied and range from the simple, ordered compositions of the Early Renaissance artists, to the broad textural boldness of the colour field painters.

Andrea teaches the "Cours De Dessin" in two locations in New York City. She is the co-founder and director of the studio atelier, The Harlem Studio of Art. She also teaches periodically at The New York Academy of Art in Tribeca.
